Valentine’s Day Felt Heart Wreath Crafternoon Project

With Valentine’s day just around the corner, there are some fabulous craft projects flying around the “internets”. A few weeks ago, I had some great ladies over for a crafternoon and we decided to tackle one of said projects. Our craft: The very popular felt heart wreath.

The creator of this project has a wonderful tutorial on her blog, The Idea Room. We followed her instructions step by step. Our only complaint was we all felt like we needed more felt (awkward sentence). I would recommend buying a yard, instead of the 3/4, if you’re going to make this yourself. Other than that, while time consuming, it was a straight forward and easy project. The finished wreath looks perfect in pink on my red front door!

Here are our final snapshots.

Pretty in pink!

This group was not about getting their picture taken.

This is a seductive color scheme - lol

My mom's - she actually made 2 wreaths in the time we all made 1!

Snazzy with a 3 color combo!

They look great!  This is on my to do list as well but I couldn’t find a heart shaped wreath form, just a round one.  They’re all the rage this season!

Julie – I looked forever in Hobby Lobby and it was odd because where I found it wasn’t where the other wreath shapes were. I know they carry them at Jo Ann’s & Michael’s as well, per their websites… maybe they are always just sold out? I hope you find one!
